Orlando Pirates have been relatively quiet with regards to their PSL restart preparations but have been linked with several signings ahead of next season.

Pirates are known to be among the most discreet clubs when it comes to player movements, with club chairman Irvin Khoza priding himself on 'scooping' the media.

The Buccaneers, however, have not gone under the radar in as far as done deals and transfer rumours are concerned, with no less than nine players having been linked with a move to the Rand Stadium-based side.

With plenty of uncertainty surrounding the futures of goalkeepers Wayne Sandilands and Siyabonga Mpontshane, whose contracts are currently up for review, it is no surprise that they are reportedly assessing three different options in that department.

Having conceded 26 goals in 24 games this season, and an average of 25 goals in the previous two seasons, there is a concerted effort to bolster the defence, with three centre-backs reportedly being eyed for next season.

Among these targets are Maritzburg United’s Richard Ofori and Rushine De Reuck, Bidvest Wits’ Brandon Petersen as well as AmaZulu striker Bonginkosi Ntuli.
