Pirates fans call for Rhulani's head

They are popularly known as 'The Happy People' but at the moment Orlando Pirates supporters are far from happy.

It looks like Pirates management will have to increase the security when the club hosts Black Leopards at Orlando Stadium in their next league match on 21 December.

This is after Buccaneers fans bayed for the blood of coach Rhulani Mokwena after their 2-2 draw against Baroka at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

It is alleged that the Pirates bus had to be escorted by police out of the stadium as fans continued to protest about the team's poor performance and demanded that Mokwena resign as head coach.

Speaking to the media after the match, Mokwena looked less worried and seemed unfazed about the Pirates fans' reaction.

"I don't control that. I can't speak about the fans. I speak about what we can do," said Mokwena.

"What we can do is to try our best all the time. The Pirates fans know one thing about us, we give our best for the badge. We fight for the badge."
