Orlando Pirates boss Josef Zinnbauer has revealed that his side aims to compete on all fronts in the upcoming campaign as the club looks to build on its MTN 8 triumph from last season.
In what his first full season with the Buccaneers, Zinnbauer inspired Pirates to their first piece of silverware since 2014 last year when he guided the club to victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in the final of the 2020 MTN 8 tournament.
The German tactician has since revealed that he is looking to build on last season's successes by competing on all fronts this time around, which includes the club's participation in the league, CAF Confederation Cup, MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup.
"We have a good squad and last season, yes, we are happy [to have won a trophy]," Zinnbauer told the media ahead of Sunday's pre-season Carling Black Label Cup clash against rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
"I think over the last six years we had not had the success of a title. We have a title now and it's normal when you get a title that [the fans] want more. We saw it last season, we won a title and they all said, 'What, wow! It's top, we got the title but the next title [we want] is now, maybe the Nedbank Cup or please win the league'.
"We want to win all of the titles, as a coach, as a player, you want to win titles. It's clear, especially for a club like Pirates, or Chiefs or [Mamelodi] Sundowns, this is the target we have.
"Over the last few years, it has not been so easy. All of the teams fight for titles and last season it was AmaZulu in the second place - no one in the room before the season spoke about AmaZulu, but it's possible in football, all is possible. Now we have a chance, the next chance, and we're looking forward to it."
