Pirates to decide on Muwowo & co.

KickOff.com understands that Orlando Pirates will this week decide the futures of a number of players in their camp.

Pirates last week announced the arrival of coach Mandla Ncikazi, which has further fuelled speculation over the future of Josef Zinnbauer at the club.

Decisions need to still be made on several players, including Gladwin Shitolo, Justice Chabalala, Tebogo Thlolane and Mthokozisi Dube, who all spent the past season on loan at various PSL clubs.

This website has learnt that the future of Zambian midfielder Austin Muwowo is also set to be discussed this week, after he failed to make an impact since arriving in the country two years ago.

Muwowo has been linked with a move to join AmaZulu, where he is expected to re-unite with countryman and former teammate Augustine Mulenga.

According to a source close to Muwowo, the player has been briefed about Usuthu's  interest even though no formal communication with Bucs has taken place as yet.

"There are chances that Muwowo could be moving to Durban to join AmaZulu. There has been some sort of contact but it remains to be seen if Pirates will agree to release him on loan or on a permanent basis," says the source.

The 24-year-old winger's agent Nana Sibongo Nyambe was reluctant to comment when asked about his client's future at the Soweto giants.
