Orlando Pirates have enlisted the services of Glen Salmon as the new coach of their reserve team.
Salmon was let go as Bidvest Wits' head of academy at the end of last season and replaces Michael Loftman, who has returned to the Pirates senior team as a performance analyst.
The former SuperSport United striker's appointment has been confirmed by one of the officials at Pirates.
"Yes it's true, he is the coach of the MDC team," the official reveals to KickOff.com.
The 41-year-old played in Netherlands and Greece amongst other countries in Europe before retiring at SuperSport with two league titles in 2012.
Augusto Palacios, Zipho Dlangalala, Mandla Qhogi and Rayaan Jacobs are amongst the coaches that have served as Pirates MDC coaches in the past.
The Buccaneers remain unbeaten in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge after beating AmaZulu and Black Leopards so far this season.
