JDR Stars midfielder Onyedikachi Ononogbu has completed his move to Black Leopards.
As reported by this website on Tuesday, Leopards have been looking to add the former Tshakhuma FC player to their midfield.
The 22-year-old has joined Lidoda Duvha on a one-year loan deal.
Though born of a South African mother, Ononogbu is eligible to represent both South Africa and his father's country of birth Nigeria.
Speaking to KickOff.com, Ononogbu confirms the new developments in his football career.
"Everything went well. It's a loan deal for one year," the player says.
"It's something that happened this week. I started training with the team today. I'm happy hey. Ya the experience is good cause now it's different, it's not like when I went for assessment you see.
"Nothing much is different, it's just the way they do things here, the professionalism is more than in the NFD. Well, it's an opportunity I wasn't going to deny at my age you see.
"I pray every day for me to make use of this opportunity, and then we will see what happens after that. I couldn't believe it when I heard Leopards wanted me."
Leopards will open their 2020/21 DStv Premiership campaign away to SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, 24 October.
