Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Lesedi Kapinga on a five-year contract.
As KickOff.com revealed on Monday, Kapinga was released early by Black Leopards to allow the player to join Sundowns before the end of the current season.
As was the case with former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka, The Brazilians have moved swiftly to welcome the 25-year-old winger to their camp in Rustenburg.
Sundowns confirmed in a statement that their new arrival is 'currently in isolation as part of the Covid-19 protocols and will interact with the rest of the squad in person once his isolation period is completed'.
Sundowns' new signings are adding more than R50-million's worth of new players to an already R300-million squad – see their individual values below!
The former Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila attacker spent two seasons in Venda, where he made a name for himself in the top-flight and attracted interest from the big three and later opted for the move to Chloorkop.
This season he managed five goals and five assists in 24 league appearances for Leopards. Kapinga will sit out the rest of the 2019/20 campaign and only be registered for next season.
