Cape Town City FC have confirmed the departure of Abbubaker Mobara to AmaZulu, with the 27-year-old arriving as one of two new signings at Usuthu.
Last season's DStv Premiership runners-up AmaZulu have bolstered their squad in the January transfer window with the acquisition of the versatile Abbubaker Mobara from Cape Town City.
Mobara, who is capable of playing across the back-line and in midfield joins Usuthu after two-and-a-half years in Cape Town, prior to which he was also on the books or Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town.
"City bids farewell to Abbubaker Mobara, who joins AmaZulu FC. We wish Bara all the best in the next phase of his career," the Citizens announced in a post on Thursday.
The 27-year-old South Africa international is one of two new faces unveiled at the Kwa-Zulu Natal-based side after Manyiel Riel Majok, known as Abraham Majok, was also picked up by Benni McCarthy's charges.
Manyok, who is of South Sudanese heritage, was born in Keyna before moving to Australia where he became naturalized during spells with Western Sydney Wanderers and Central Coast Mariners and was most recently on the books of PAEEK in the Cypriot second division.
