Kaizer Chiefs utility player Njabulo Blom is raring to go for this weekend's blockbuster clash against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.
Amakhosi take on the reigning DStv Premiership champions, in undoubtedly the biggest fixture of the weekend.
"I'm fit and ready, and since I joined in yesterday, I've been pushing myself at training, so I think I'm ready to play on Sunday," Blom said.
The 21-year-old revealed Sunday's fixture reminds him of his second-ever first-team match for Kaizer Chiefs.
"It was my second game for the first-team, in a game that I played against Sundowns. I think it was my first game too against Sundowns.
"I think I played very well in that game and helped the team to win the game. So I think that's the game that comes to mind when we play against Sundowns.
"They are a very good team, and they are very comfortable on the ball, but we will go out there as a team and work hard to grind for the result.
"I think we will go out there and play our football and do what the coach tells us to do because we've been trying to implement his new philosophy.
"So I think we will go out there and apply what we've been doing in training. To try to get it right and try to play based on our talent."
The arrival of Baxter at Chiefs saw Blom moving from the midfield position to right-back, but the versatile player sees no problem being used both as a midfielder and full-back this season.
"I will just give my best wherever the coach feels is right to play me, either in midfield or as a right-back, so I will just go out there, enjoy it and work hard."
