Swallows FC have confirmed captain Lebohang 'Cheeseboy' Mokoena has been retained amongst several players upon their return to the South African top-flight.
Mokoena, 33, led Swallows to a remarkable title triumph in the 2019/20 GladAfrica Championship as they pipped Ajax Cape Town on the final day of the season.

The veteran forward has now been rewarded with a new deal to lead the Soweto outfit into the new season in the PSL along with former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Virgil Vries, Amajita starlet Givemore Khupe, Tlakusani Mthethwa, Sanele Tshabalala and Mthokozisi Shwabule as they look to retain the core of their promotion-winning squad.
"Not only have we retained his [Mokoena's] services but when his legs decides he can't run anymore he will be more than welcome to join the technical team. Meaning, he is a Bird for life," owner David Mogashoa posted.
While the new deals are seemingly not yet over as the club confirms their squad for the 2020/21 campaign via their official Twitter account, The Dube Birds are continuing to show faith in their historic team – with coach Brandon Truter also awarded faith to lead his attacking outfit.
Swallows still need to find a solution for the players who were on loan from various clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, with the likes of Given Thibedi, Itumeleng Shopane and Kagiso Malinga having played key roles in their promotion success.
