One of Kaizer Chiefs’ new signings has become quite popular in the Carling Black Label votes.
Zambian forward Lazarous Kambole was announced as Amakhosi’s new signing last month and it’s clear that the club’s supporters want to see him on the pitch when they take on Orlando Pirates later this month.
By Friday, Kambole had 17486 votes, 10 000 more than what he had the previous week. Whether or not he gets to make the final team to start the Soweto Derby, it’s clear that the deadly Zambian striker is someone Amakhosi fans are dying to see on the pitch.
Kambole has been previously linked with Chiefs’ rivals Pirates and he’d no doubt want to start life in South Africa with a goal in the biggest game on the country’s calendar.
KickOff.com will continue updating you on the votes for the match will be played at FNB Stadium on July 27.
By Friday, Bernard Parker was the striker with the most votes on 59 510, while Leonardo Castro was on 38513. Young forward Itumeleng Shopane was on 20 536 votes.
