KickOff has been tipped off about the prospect of an Egyptian footballer who has been likened to Mohamed Salah moving to the DStv Premiership ahead of next season.
Reports emanating from Egypt are that there have been initial negotiations sounding out the possibility of Ali Oscar sealing a transfer to South Africa.
Oscar plays in the Egyptian second division for Alaab Damanhour where he has been a top performer despite the club’s struggles.
A left footer who is blessed with lightning pace, Oscar has four goals and 10 assists this season playing wide on the left in midfield.

Though he hasn’t played as a forward this season his style has been likened to fellow countryman and Liverpool star Salah.
There is also interest in his services from Egyptian clubs Smouha and Bank Al Ahli along with Portugal.
"He is a left winger who has been the subject of a lot of talks considering just how scarce left-footers are in the game.
"There have been clubs in South Africa who have taken interest after watching his videos after he made it clear that he would be open to a move to this part of Africa.
"His handlers believe it is time for him to move away and South Africa could be his next destination depending on what eventually comes out of all the talks.
"Nothing is official but South Africa is an option on the table.
"He doesn’t have a big profile as yet but is quality and destined for bigger things," says an Egyptian contact.
The PSL has never been a popular destination for North African footballers with Fares Hachi (Egypt), Amr Gamal (Egypt) and the Moroccan pair of Oubei Adi El Houssaine and Noah Wail Sadaoui the few to make the long trip.
