Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi hailed his side's team spirit after beating Chippa United during a DStv Premiership clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
The Buccaneers came from behind to secure a valuable victory by 3-1, with Tshegofatso Mabasa, Abel Mabaso, and Goodman Mosele all on target.
With the win, Pirates remain unbeaten so far in the league after collecting eight points from four games.
Speaking after the final whistle, Ncikazi hailed his side's team spirit shown as their secret weapon behind the win.
"The match was a mirror of our training," Ncikazi said post-match.
"What I saw today, and the fighting spirit I saw in training, we did prophecies this result if this team is this united and is prepared to work this hard.
"With everything that happened yesterday where the unity is always vivid within the team, you work for your luck, and today I think luck was on our side because the team worked for it."
Ncikazi has hinted that they may go for consistency in selecting the same Pirates starting line-up when they host Mamelodi Sundowns in their next league match on Saturday.
"The teams who win and win championships, they all have consistent line-ups," Ncikazi added.
"If it's possible and there are no injuries, we would love to keep the same team.
"Without jumping the gun, I think Tshegofatso Mabasa should start in the next match.
"Without disclosing much, we must be consistent, but sometimes injuries force us into situations we don't want to be in.
"Pirates have been unlucky lately with a lot of injuries but I am happy for Mabasa to play two games with two goals."
