Swallows land ex-PSL top scorer

Premiership

Swallows FC have secured the signing of Zambia international striker Mwape Musonda ahead of the upcoming DStv Premiership campaign.

Musonda, 30, was strongly linked with a move to AmaZulu last month after returning to South Africa as a free agent upon ending his stay in the United Arab Emirates with Hatta Club.

The robust striker will be fondly remembered for his exploits in the 2018/19 season with Black Leopards, where he scooped the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award with 16 strikes in 28 games.

His form earned him a lucrative move to the Gulf region, where he failed to establish himself before a loan spell in Saudi Arabia with Al-Sahel followed.

But the former Orlando Pirates man is set for another stint in the country with the man responsible for reviving the Dube Birds, Panyaza Lesufi confirming the move via his official Twitter account.
