AmaZulu to welcome ex-PSL top scorer

Premiership has learnt that a former Premiership golden boot winner has agreed to join AmaZulu FC.

According to a reliable source within the club, both the Zambian forward and the KwaZulu-Natal club have reached an agreement on terms and what is left now is only an announcement.

Musonda is currently with the Chipolopolo squad at the COSAFA Cup, which is taking place in Gqeberha.

While still at Black Leopards, the 30-year-old scored 16 goals to finish as the 2018/19 top goalscorer, before moving to Arabian Gulf League side Hatta Club in the United Arab Emirates.

He was then loaned out to Al-Sahel, which is where he also struggled to regain his goalscoring form last season.

Contacted for a comment, AmaZulu media officer Brilliant Mkhathini refused to divulge any details surrounding the former Orlando Pirates attacker, or any other transfer-related matters.

"Mmmmh... We haven't confirmed new players yet," Mkhathini responded to this website.

Usuthu have Lindokuhle Zungu, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Siphelele Mthembu, Bongi Ntuli, Augustine Mulenga and New Zealander Andre de Jongh as part of their attacking force.
