Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca have made enquiries about the availability of a Kaizer Chiefs forward.
Colombian Leonardo Castro’s future at Naturena has been cast into doubt following the arrival of two foreign strikers, Lazarous Kambole and Samir Nurković.
Castro’s name has been removed from the list of players that can be voted to make the starting line-up for Carling Black Label Cup later this month, which means he could leave the club any time soon. The former Mamelodi Sundowns striker’s contract with the Phefeni Glamour Boys is set to expire in June next year.
According to sources, 2017 CAF Champions League winner Wydad have made contact with Castro's representatives to see if a deal is possible.
“There has been contact. But at this stage nothing formal,” said the source.
“Wydad are currently searching for a striker and Castro has been identified as one of the candidates,” he added.
