Midfielder Pule Mmodi has returned to Golden Arrows pre-season training as he is linked with a lucrative move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Mmodi is believed to be keen on a transfer to Naturena while Orlando Pirates are also reportedly keeping a keen eye on the player's situation.

According to insiders, the 29-year-old will continue training with Abafana Bes'thende as negotiations between the two clubs continue.

Talks are expected to be concluded before the end of this week as the KwaZulu-Natal club has now reported back to training.

Mmodi's contract at Arrows is believed to be left with a one-year option and is expected to hold talks with chairperson Mato Madlala later on Tuesday to discuss his future.

The former Uthongathi FC player featured 34 times for Arrows in all competitions during the 2021/22 season, scoring five goals.

Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane is looking to rebuild his squad to recapture the Soweto giants' glory days.

So far, Dillon Solomons, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Lehlogonolo George Matlou, Siyethemba Sithebe, Yusuf Maart, Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika have already joined.

"I think the chairlady is in a better position to comment on the Pule Mmodi to Kaizer Chiefs issue," Arrows manager Nonceba Madlala said when contacted for comment.
