Midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane is adamant that Cape Town City are focused on beating both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in qualifying for the CAF Champions League.
Mdantsane has confidently predicted that the Citizens will clinch a needed win against Stellenbosch FC to finish as runners-up this season.
"Everyone is excited, we want to play Champions League next season, and it's actually in our hands right now," Mdantsane tells KickOff.
"We know what's at stake, and we know what Saturday's game actually means.
"Obviously the target now is to get maximum points to go play Champions League.
"We want to play in the Champions League, we deserve to play Champions League because we do have quality players.
"For us to be in this position right now it shows how much we want to do it and that will be quite an achievement."
Dubbed the 'Penalty King', Mdantsane has been called up to the most recent Bafana Bafana preliminary squad for the third time and hopes this time to make the final cut.
"Obviously, I'm grateful for making it into the preliminary squad, it shows I'm getting there,
"But if it does happen it happens (making it into the final squad), but let's push higher, we shall see.
"I think it's for the third time now this happens and I have made it into the final squad only once.
"Obviously the coach is the one that chooses the final team and he knows what he wants.
"He plans for his opponents according to his philosophy, he decides the best team with experience you know,
"So for me just to get selected it's a big thing you know.
"Right now I'm just focused on the job at hand which is this weekend you know."
