Arrows dealt another injury blow

Premiership

Barrios, who is yet to make his Arrows debut, joins teammate Kudakwashe Mahachi on the sidelines after the latter fractured his arm in training and has since been ruled out for six weeks.

Coach Clinton Larsen has revealed that the 28-year-old will not feature in competitive action for a month, but has been doing specific training seperate from the team.

"He [Barrios] is out along with Mahachi, and will likely be out for the next four weeks," Larsen tells KickOff.com

"He is still training because it is a facial injury, but he can't hit the ball or do any contact. Mahachi is also training [seperate from the team] with his arm, and can't have any contact."

The Maritzburg-born tactician admits the team will miss the attacking duo, and cannot wait for their respective returns.

"We are missing them at the moment and it's going to be a big boost when the two of them come back," he adds.

Abafana Bes'thende will next visit Free State Stars for a league clash at Goble Park Stadium on Wednesday evening. Kick-off has been moved from 19h30 to 18h00.
