KickOff.com can reveal that former Orlando Pirates winger Mark Mayambela has arrived in Johannesburg and is set to start training with Swallows FC.

Mayambela has turned down the opportunity of joining his former coach Roger De Da at Cape Town All Stars in favour of a move to PSL next season.

According to sources close to the Dube Birds, the former Bucs midfielder who was also linked with a move to Sekhukhune United was due to report for assessment with the club this week before opening negotiations for a new contract.

"There have been discussions going on. There is keen interest in him and hence they invited him for assessment," the source revealed. "He is expected to join the team for pre-season training camp this week."

The Dube Birds are also currently assessing former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese at their training base in Randburg.
