Tinkler to welcome back Tlolane

Maritzburg United coach Eric Tinkler is pleased to welcome back Tebogo Tlolane and hinted at a possible debut for Jose Ali Meza in their opening DStv Premiership clash.

After suffering defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 last weekend, the Team of Choice begin the 2020/21 league season against Baroka FC on Saturday afternoon (15h30).

"This weekend away against Baroka, obviously we want to start the 2020/21 season on tje front foot, so it's important that we go to Baroka and try to get a positive result against them," Tinkler said.

"It's not going to be easy, all games this season are going to be tough, thick and fast. The fact that we performed well in the first half against Chiefs, if we can put that performance against Baroka for the whole 90 minutes, we can get positive results."

While Dan Morgan is out injured, Tlolane is back with Maritzburg on loan after featuring in Orlando Pirates' MTN8 win over Cape Town City last weekend.

"Good news is that we have Ali Meza available for this game, which is good. Unfortunately we still have the suspension of Kwanda [Mngonyama], he has another two-match suspension, and we lost Dan Morgan against Chiefs but Tlolane has arrived," he added.

"I'm looking forward to the game and hopefully we can get a good result."
