Kickoff.com has learned that Maritzburg United have released another player after the departure of Rushine De Reuck, who has joined Mamelodi Sundowns.
Earlier this week, this website reported that the Team of Choice would be having talks with Zambian goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange regarding his future.
Mwange, who joined in October last year, was tipped as replacement for Orlando Pirates-bound Richard Ofori but has not quite proved the right fit.
It is understood that an agreement has been reached between the two parties that will see the 30-year-old Chipolopolo shotstopper leave the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
This also follows the arrival of German goalminder Marcel Engelhardt, whose arrival was confirmed by the club on Thursday.
Mwange managed just five appearances and condeded eight goals during his brief stint with United.
This website also understands that out-of-favour SuperSport United striker Evans Rusike is close to completing a return to Pietermaritzburg, with a deal set to be concluded next week if an agreement is reached.
A club official could not be reached for comment on either Mwange or Rusike at the time of publishing.
The PSL transfer window opened on 18 January and will slam shut on 15 February.
