Maritzburg United have completed the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Fares Hachi.

As reported by KickOff.com, the Algerian winger started training with the Team of Choice last week and was close to signing a deal.

Contract negotiations have now been completed, with a close source indicating that 30-year-old Hachi has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract in Pietermaritzburg.

Maritzburg had already signed former Sundowns striker Jose Ali Meza, with the Venezuelan scoring his first goals for the Blue Army in the 2-1 defeat to Baroka FC on Saturday.

The club has also been in transfer talks with Ghanaian former AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, who is currently a free agent.
