Meza agrees terms with Maritzburg

KickOff.com can confirm that Maritzburg United have reached an agreement with Venezuelan striker Jose Ali Meza from Mamelodi Sundowns.

This website revealed this morning that Meza and Lucky Mohomi have parted ways with Sundowns with Maritzburg, SuperSport United and Cape Town City reported to be eyeing the players.

It has now emerged that 29-year-old striker Meza has agreed terms on a contract with The Team of Choice and is on his way to KwaZulu-Natal to join Eric Tinkler's side in camp in preparation for the new season.

"Meza has agreed terms with Maritzburg United. He is expected to arrive in Pietermaritzburg anytime soon to complete his medicals," a source close to the deal tells KickOff.com.

The Brazilians have already released Aubrey Ngoma and Sammy Seabi on loan to Cape Town City and Swallows FC respectively.

Maritzburg are known to be monitoring Sibusiso Hlubi, Jabulani Ncobeni and overseas star Thabo Cele having already brought in Delron Buckley and Rowen Fernandez to sit on Tinkler's technical team.
