Unbeaten Ncikazi hails his players

Golden Arrows coach Mandla Ncikazi has praised his players for producing brave performances as they refuse to lose this season.

Abafana Bes'thende are enjoying their best ever start to a PSL season as they currently sit unbeaten in fifth position after nine DStv Premiership matches.

Ncikazi, speaking after their 1-0 win over Chippa United on Saturday, said right now it is not about good football but getting those three points.

"Currently I'm excited about three points, not the best matches from a play perceptive. I'm just proud of the players for their fighting spirit under these circumstances," he said.

With the pandemic still making life hard for South Africans, Ncikazi believes it has not been easy for anyone in the PSL but teams and players have had to adapt their mentality to compete.

"We must also understand the situation we are in," he added. "Things are happening around the country and it hasn't been easy to even train. But I'm happy with three points and proud of the boys."
