Ncikazi expecting dangerous Bucs

Golden Arrows coach Mandla Ncikazi is expecting a different Orlando Pirates side when they clash at Orlando Stadium today.

Abafana Bes'thende are yet to be beaten this season and are coming from a victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, while Pirates have started 2021 with underwhelming performances.

Ncikazi is expecting a difficult game away from home, especially since the Buccaneers are coming from a damaging defeat to Black Leopards.

"Tough match and tough opponents. Pirates are a good team‚ a playing team. Maybe let’s not read anything from the previous result," Ncikazi told the media ahead of the clash.

"Just remember the positives, that the only threat with them is that they can change the formation many times in one match and also the personnel."

The recent form of Pirates makes Ncikazi unsure about what to expect on the day but believes focusing more on his own side rather than worrying about their opponents will help them to be ready for the encounter.

"So I’m not sure what will happen after they lost, whether they'll change personnel‚ whether they'll change the formation," he admitted.

"But with Pirates, just expect a tough match irrespective of what happens with them. But mainly I will focus more on our team.

"We're prepared to defend well and if we defend well and come out cleanly in attack‚ we're going to get a positive result. I'm confident based on what I've seen thus far in our team."
