Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to decide if they will retire the jersey number of Motjeka Madisha.
The late Bafana Bafana defender is set to be laid to rest at the Ga-Madisha village in Zebediela on Saturday.
Sundowns' players and technical team left Johannesburg this morning to visit the Madisha family in Polokwane.
According to a senior official at Sundowns, the Madisha family is still waiting for the government in Limpopo to hear if their son will be afforded an official provincial funeral on Saturday.
"Our focus at the moment is making sure our player gets a dignified send-off after serving the club with distinction," the official tells KickOff.com.
"He will remain one of the great players to don the Sundowns jersey after also winning the CAF Champions League."
Madisha wore jersey number two at Sundowns before he passed away in a car accident near Kempton Park on December 12 last year.
