Downs to hold crunch talks with players

Premiership

Mamelodi Sundowns are left with only six days to finalise the immediate futures of Tiyani Mabunda, Phakamani Mahlambi, Wayne Arendse and Anthony Laffor.

Mabunda, Laffor and Arendse have been linked with exits at Sundowns while Mahlambi is also seeking a loan deal away after Swallows FC's pursuit of the striker failed.

Arendse's jersey number six at Chloorkop has reportedly already been handed to new signing Brian Onyango, adding fuel to the speculation he is about to leave.

Laffor and Mabunda have not made the matchday squad since the beginning of the season.

The Brazilians brought in 13 confirmed signings this season with some including Ricardo Goss, Grant Margeman, Lesedi Kapinga and Gift Motupa yet to make their debuts.

Motupa is currently nursing an injury sustained in a recent car accident while Kapinga is still trying to adapt to his new environment.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are set to release winger Katlego Otladisa from his contract having spent most of his time out on loan at Ajax Cape Town and Cape Umoya United.
