Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to have identified their targets for the next transfer window, with Golden Arrows midfielder Ntsako Makhubela top of their list.
Makhubela, who had another top performance against Sundowns last weekend, has been one of the most consistent players in the South African top-flight for the last two seasons.
This website has gathered that the defending champions are looking at reuniting him with coaches Steve Komphela and Rhulani Mokwena as they have worked together before at different levels of the game.
According to sources close to both camps, Sundowns are serious about him but it is unclear on whether they have approached Arrows about a possible move to Chloorkop.
"The conversation about Makhubela is no longer a secret at Sundowns, he is amongst the targeted players to join them. He has worked with Coach Steve and Rhulani, they know him and they love him," a source tells KickOff.com.
"For now it's not clear on whether the club has met with Arrows about a possible deal but they really want him and anything can happen in January because their interest is huge."
The box-to-box midfielder is one of the most important players at Abafana Bes'thende and it may be hard for them to lose him despite the fact that they have so many talented players in that position.
Neither Sundowns nor Arrows could be reached for comment.
