Mamelodi Sundowns forward Anthony Laffor did not mince his words when asked if he ever considers making a loan move.
Laffor last played for Sundowns in March, but is working is way back to fitness after undergoing surgery on his problematic knee. He is hoping to be back on the pitch soon, but it won’t be easy getting into the starting line-up with players doing well in attack.
Despite not always being a regular, Laffor would never consider being loaned out. He says Sundowns should rather sell him than loan him out.
“Me? No, I don’t think about a loan. I’m Anthony Laffor. If you don’t want me, you sell me. You don’t loan me. Why should I leave Sundowns to go on loan? I don’t pay attention to loans. I work hard for my place at Sundowns. I don’t ask coaches to play me because of favour. Before I play I have to work. If I don’t work, then I’ll sit on the bench,” the Liberian international says.
“For me I think it’s easy because you just need to adapt and listen to what the coaches want you to do and stay humble and respect the guy who is playing. If you are not playing, stop moaning. You just have to be supportive.”
