Mamelodi Sundowns have made a U-turn on a recent fixture request as the games start to pile up thick and fast in December.
The Brazilians had requested a postponement of their Absa Premiership match against Stellenbosch in Cape Town on 11 December due to fixture congestion but have now made a U-turn on that decision.
Sundowns are expected to leave the country today for Morocco where they will face Wydad Casablanca on Friday, 6 December before returning to the country to face Stellenbosch on Wednesday, 11 December.
The Chloorkop-based side is then set to face Maritzburg United in the Telkom Knockout final in Durban three days later on 14 December.
Stellies coach Steve Barker has confirmed that their match against Sundowns is more likely to take place on 11 December than any other date.
"Look, we had discussions between club to club. They want to reinstate the game [for 11 December]," Barker tells KickOff.com.
"Originally they asked for it to be postponed. I think they realised they have fixture congestion. That fixture there is a strong possibility that it will take place on the 11th December."
If the fixture against Stellenbosch remains as is, it will mean Pitso Mosimane's side will take part in three different competitions in the space of a week, plus travelling outside the country and long distances between three provinces.
