Sundowns talent set to soar at Swallows

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Grant Margeman looks set to complete a loan move to Swallows FC in search of regular first-team action.

Margeman has struggled to break into the Sundowns first-team since joining from Ajax Cape Town last year.

After making a total of just three appearances, the player and his representatives have sought to secure a temporary move away from Chloorkop after falling down the club's pecking order.

The 23-year-old - who still has four years remaining on his contract - attracted interest from Stellies, Swallows and SuperSport United the Cape Winelands-based outfit seeing an approach rejected.

KickOff.com understands Stellenbosch FC made a proposal to pay a percentage of the midfielder's wages for the duration of a season-long loan move.

But ultimately lost out to the Dube Birds who are prepared to cover the player's full wage amount.

It's likely that Margeman will now complete a move to Soweto before the transfer window deadline on 31 August to join Monnapule Saleng and Austin Muwowo - both from Orlando Pirates - as the club's other loan signings for the campaign.
