Mamelodi Sundowns cruised to victory in their second pre-season friendly this weekend in Botswana.
After playing to a 1-1 draw with Jwaneng Galaxy on Saturday afternoon, the reigning Absa Premiership champions took on Morupule Wanderers at the National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Pitso Mosimane’s registered a 5-1 victory, as they continue to prepare for the new campaign which will see them challenging for a 10th league title.
Sundowns’ first goal was scored by South American Jose Ali Meza, who scored recently in Nelspruit in a friendly against National First Division side. Sundowns went into the break with the one goal, but turned on the heat in the second period with four goals.
Lyle Lakay doubled the visitors’ lead and Phakamani Mahlambi made it three. Right back Thapelo Morena scored the fourth before Mahlambi completed his brace.
Mahlambi was also on the scoresheet when Sundowns played Galaxy on Saturday. Wanderers pulled one back through Gosaitse Manuel.
Sundowns will next travel to DR Congo to take on Don Bosco and TP Mazembe.
