Mamelodi Sundowns are set to make a late dash for one more signing before the transfer window deadline.
KickOff.com understands Sundowns are still keen to bring in defender Rushine De Reuck from Maritzburg United before next Monday.
The PSL transfer window is set to slam shut on November 30, after the registration period was altered due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Brazilians, who conceded three goals in their recent victory over AmaZulu, are believed to be considering another bid for the 24-year-old centre-back.
"Sundowns made official enquiries on Rushine earlier in the window and that was turned down by Maritzburg, but a last-minute dash for his services before the deadline can't be ruled out," a source has revealed.
The reigning PSL champions have already brought in 14 new signings for the 2020/21 season, including former Maritzburg and Santos centre-back Brian Onyango, who has yet to make his club debut.
Sundowns are also reported to be looking to offload a couple of those deemed surplus to requirements before the close of the window period, one of which is reported to be veteran defender Wayne Arendse.
The club could be looking to offer a player or two in exchange for their target, while AmaZulu and Swallows FC are also believed to be interested in loaning some of those not needed in Chloorkop.
Sundowns general manager Yogesh Singh was unavailable for comment at the time of compiling this article.
