Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has a plan to dismantle this weekend’s CAF Champions League opponents Otoho D’Oyo.
The Congolese outfit will take on Sundowns in the second leg preliminary round clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, after winning the first leg encounter 2-1 a couple of weeks ago.
Mosimane, who expects his side’s opponents to sit back and defend, is hoping his players can repeat the performances displayed in their victories over SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic recently.
"West African boys, strong boys or Central Africans, they are big boys. Champions League will always have the big boys, that’s when you talk about set-pieces and that's where you need to make sure that you have the right height for that game,” said Mosimane.
"But we played well against them when we were 10 against 11 [after Hlompho Kekana’s red card] and we had possession. We even managed to score 10 against 11. I think if we can bring back the game against SuperSport United, bring back the game against Bloemfontein Celtic, we should be okay. They are strong boys, they are going to sit back, they are going to park the bus obviously, you know the story. But we have to go around it and we can dismantle it. Hopefully the boys will be more fresh.”
Mosimane gave his players a day off on Thursday to recharge their batteries for this weekend’s match,
"I think we should be able to score one or two goals on Saturday. It’s not going to be easy, we have to break the ice. If we score early it’s much better because they cannot sit, they have to come out,” he added.
