Kekana brands Celtic an 'awkward' side

Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has branded his former side Bloemfontein Celtic's system as 'awkward' to play against.

Sundowns face up to John Maduka's outfit on Tuesday afternoon knowing they have already tasted defeat against them in the MTN8 this season.

However, as one of only three sides unbeaten in the DStv Premiership, the league leaders are looking to extend their run.

"It is refreshing to know that we are going into this game without having lost a match, it allows us to go out and get more wins and we want to continue with the good run that we are having," Kekana told the club's official website.

Phunya Sele Sele are currently in 11th place with only two wins in the league but Kekana admits they will not allow complacency to creep in as the 2019/20 treble winners look to sustain their dominance on the domestic scene.

"Playing against Celtic is not going to be easy or smooth as they play an awkward system. The boys have worked hard in the past two days in preparations for the game.

"We are playing at home and the objective is simple and that is to win and get the three points that the team requires. The team looks ready and refreshed and we are looking forward to the match and hopefully, we get the win and continue being unbeaten."

Masandawana host Celtic at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium with the chance to move three points clear of Swallows at 17h00.
