Mamelodi Sundowns have appointed former Yanga SC coach Riedoh Berdien as their new fitness coach.
Berdien, 38, spent seven months in Tanzania with Dar es Salaam giants where he served as the assistant coach while working with the Gambia national team and Banyana Banyana.
With extensive experience on the African continent, he returns to the DStv Premiership as a direct replacement for Kabelo Rangoaga, who left the club with former head coach Pitso Mosimane to Al Ahly.
KickOff.com understands Berdien was approached by Sundowns last week during the FIFA international break due to his experience on the continent – he has also enjoyed a stint with the Togo national team.

During his time in South Africa, he worked with Free State Stars and Chippa United over two spells and was also approached by Milutin Sredojevic during his brief stint with Zamalek.
Masandawana are set to officially confirm his appointment later this week as he slots into the technical team at Chloorkop lead by Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokwena.
