Laffor, who has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, recently said he is happy at Sundowns and wants to see out the year left on his contract.
After featuring only 13 times in all competitions last term – mostly due to injuries – the Liberian international has his fingers crossed that this will be a season where we see him on the pitch and not off it.
Laffor featured in the Shell Helix Cup match against Kaizer Chiefs almost two weeks ago and says his performance showed that he is hungry to play more football.
“It’s always good to be on the pitch. Everybody wants to be on the pitch, but sometimes you have to respect the coach’s decision. I always keep my focus and I know what I want and I am here to play football. If I get given an opportunity, I want to make use of it,” Laffor tells KickOff.com.
“I don’t have the authority to play myself, but the most important thing is to work hard week in and out on the training ground. I think this season is going to be better than last season. I am very hungry and you could see from the game against Chiefs that I want to play. I need to listen to my coach, respect my teammates and we will see how it goes.”
