Maccabi FC head coach Joel Masutha says he is not aware that Zimbabwean left-winger Edmore Chirambadare has left the club.
Chirambadare joined the National First Division side as a free agent in August 2018 after being released by Kaizer Chiefs in June.
The 27-year-old is said to be currently negotiating with suitors in the Absa Premiership.
"Chirambadare is a free agent," the player's agent Mike Ngobeni confirms to KickOff.com. "End of contract, we're working on something. I can't give teams' yet, but next week we'll give you. Let me secure a contract first."
Meanwhile, Masutha says he was not aware of this new development.
"Hey I'm not sure you know, I'm not sure. Where is he going [laughs]? As for me, I know nothing. Maybe they will inform me when the time is right, but so far no, nothing," he says.
"Maybe he thought 'no I wasn't supposed to play NFD football in the first place, I was just there to get game-time to stay relevant' you will never know. To be honest, for now I know nothing."
Asked about his future with Maccabi, who finished 11th on the log this season, Masutha said: "They want me to continue, and indeed I also want to continue, there's no other way."
