Luvuyo Memela scored two late goals on Wednesday night to seal a 2-0 win and further confirm his status as a great signing for AmaZulu.
When Usuthu announced their new signings it was clear that the new leadership was sending a strong message to their opponents.
In their first three matches of the DStv Premiership the team's performances, especially from their new players, have provided a glimpse of what to expect from them this season.
Ayanda Dlamini's side have played impressive football and no longer look like a team that will be depending on one player like it has been happening for the past two years.
After their first victory of the season over Black Leopards, Dlamini was very impressed by the way his team fought for three points and believes they could have scored more goals.

"We started very well, in the first half we created a lot of chances from Memela and [Augustine] Mulenga, unlucky not to score there, but also the opponents were well organised in their defence," Dlamini said.
"Second half we allowed them to have more of the ball, and they were very threatening to force Siya Mbatha to make those saves. From there we picked ourselves up and it was becoming difficult to score."
'Amigo' already received a lot of praise from the coach after his stellar debut against Orlando Pirates and again proved his class to score a brace towards the end of the match that helped Usuthu collect maximum points.
"But the individual brilliance of Memela got us those two goals and yeah we just have to keep up this performance," Dlamini added.
"Also we need to start scoring early to avoid frustrations which can affect our structure."
