Eymael confirms double PSL talks

Premiership

Former Free State Stars and Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael has confirmed he will be returning to the PSL soon.

Last week saw three teams parting ways with their coaches – Black Leopards, Chippa United and AmaZulu– however Usuthu moved quickly to appoint Jozef Vukusic to replace Cavin Johnson and the Chilli Boys have installed Duran Francis as caretaker coach.

KickOff.com revealed that Eymael is the favourite to take over at Leopards and the Belgian coach confirms that a move is close after speaking to two clubs.

"Good afternoon man, I'm in Belgium. If you want to talk about my contacts with South African football, we will see in the next couple of hours if it's true or not," he says.

"Yes, I've been talking with two clubs since last Sunday. Nothing has been finalised as yet so I can't say much but it's two clubs that don't have coaches at the moment."

It will be interesting to see Eymael return to the Absa Premiership after Steve Komphela warned clubs not to hire him in the last couple of weeks.
