The 36-year-old, who won two Absa Premiership titles with Matsatsantsa, is now back home in Gauteng and venturing into a new career.
He is also remembered at Bakgaga for scoring the goal against Ajax Cape Town on the last day of the 2016/17 season that saved the club from straight relegation, even though he was also sent off in that game.
Madubanya has confirmed he has decided to hang up his soccer boots and is now focusing on new career in coaching.
"Every good thing has to come to an end," Madubanya tells KickOff.com.
"It's time to further another career. I enjoyed myself playing soccer. I have been playing football for the past 17 years.
"Bow it's time to build my family and also have time with the people that matter in my life."
Madubanya is now involved with coaching in the Midrand area.
"I have joined another school around Midrand. I am heading their sports desk and coaching the under-10s. My mother still stays there and the community has welcomed me very well."
