Lesotho striker catches PSL attention

Sekhukhune United are set to swoop on Lesotho national team striker Tumelo Makha.

The Lioli's attacker is believed to be on verge of signing with Sekhukhune after his impressive season in the Vodacom Premier League in his homeland.

Makha is currently in camp with Likuena for the COSAFA Cup taking place in Gqeberha, and has not started either of the team's two matches against eSwatini and Zambia.

According to a source close to Makha, the player has attracted interest from a number of PSL clubs, including Swallows FC, but is likely to opt for the DStv Premiership rookies to re-unite with former coach Thabo Senong.

"He is the hottest property in Lesotho. There is no surprise that he is a wanted man in South Africa," says the source in Maseru.

"There are teams that have shown interest to sign him but it looks like he might end up at Sekhukhune."

Makha's agent Keke Mokoena has confirmed his client's interest in South Africa but declined to divulge names of the clubs interested in him.

"I can't mention the names of the clubs because it might cause problems with negotiations," says Mokoena.

"There are also some other agents that are trying to poach the player and making big promises. We are also trying to manage the situation so that this selfish people cannot mess up his soccer career in South Africa."
