Golden Arrows striker Lerato Lamola has finally opened up about his contract situation at the club after much transfer talk about where his future lies.

Lamola has not been getting game-time at Abafana Bes'thende, creating a lot of questions, and he has now shared more details on where he stands.

Even before the season started Lamola was linked with a number of clubs, but the player says club boss Mato Madlala is the person to provide more answers.

"I think that one, our chairlady can give clarity. I'm still contracted with the team," he said.

"My contract is ending very soon, I don't know. This is home.

"It's not up to me to be here. If the chairlady says it's over I will move on and if she keeps me I will be happy to stay."

Lamola says only his agent can respond on whether he's negotiating with others teams or not, as was reported a few months ago.

"Maybe my manager [can say] because normally I don't talk to the teams. Maybe my manager did," he added.

"I'm happy to be back. It's always a pleasure to represent Abafana Bes'thende. It's an honour and I had to show the coach that I'm ready."
