Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama has opened up about the few days that lie ahead as they prepare to face two potential title rivals.
Chiefs host SuperSport United at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening (18h00) before traveling to face Cape Town City at Newlands Stadium (19h30) on Tuesday.
After a two-week recess as they watched their rivals compete in the MTN8 last weekend, they will be expected to put out two good performances with a turn-around of just three days, as they look to retain their perfect start to the 2019/20 season.
Manyama has admitted his excitement in facing two of his former clubs but conceded that this is a massive week for the club in terms of the difficulty of the challenges lying ahead.
“It’s very much exciting, but I think this is one of the biggest weeks we’ll have in the whole season – to play SuperSport and Cape Town City in the space of three days," said Manyama.
“These are tough games and we know how good these teams are, but it’s also the kind of games we want to play, and I think everyone associated with Chiefs can’t wait to see.
“So, we’ll try and do our best and try to get wins in both matches. We know it’s going to be very tough, but I believe we can do it.
“First we’ll see what happens on Saturday [against SuperSport] and then worry about Tuesday [against Cape Town City].”
