Chiefs' Manyama blow confirmed

Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt a blow following the PSL's confirmation of suspensions for this weekend's DStv Premiership action.

Chiefs will be without Lebogang Manyama for the upcoming Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

Manyama will serve a one-match suspension after picking up his fourth yellow card in Amakhosi's 1-1 draw away to Maritzburg United last week.

The 30-year-old attacker has chipped in with three goals and two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions in the 2020/21 season so far.

Meanwhile, Pirates will come into the encounter with a full complement of players at their disposal, barring those who are ruled out through injury.

The Buccaneers hold a 3-0 advantage in so far as Derby victories over Chiefs go this season, with Gavin Hunt yet to pick up any points from this mammoth fixture since arriving at the start of the campaign.

Another high-profile absentee this weekend will see Mamelodi Sundowns have to do without top scorer Peter Shalulile when they take on Black Leopards on Sunday.

Elsewhere, six other players will also miss their teams' respective fixtures this weekend including Ndumiso Mabena, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Clayton Daniels, Marc van Heerden and Prince Mahlangu.
