Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama has sent a message to his former teammate and friend at Mamelodi Sundowns Aubrey Ngoma.
Ngoma has endured a difficult time since arriving at Sundowns from Cape Town City in January last year, having managed just 10 appearances in 18 months.
The 30-year-old, who celebrates his birthday today, was expected to earn a move away from Chloorkop in the recent transfer window but deadline day came and went without an outlet.
He now has to stick it out at The Brazilians until at least January, and Manyama has since shared his support for the Hammanskraal-born winger.
“Aubrey is a quality player, and also a very nice person, firstly – he’s a very good friend of mine and we speak a lot,” Manyama tells KickOff.com.
“I cannot say much because obviously out of respect for both teams [Chiefs and Sundowns], I don’t know what’s happening there; I’m never there.
“But I always encourage him. I know the fighter in him, and I know he’ll fight until the last days at Sundowns. He’s one positive guy that I know that will get his opportunity and use it well.
“I always wish the best for him, you cannot doubt his quality, but you also know that Sundowns has so much quality. He’s a patient guy, and he knows his time will come [to play again].”
