Papic leaves Black Leopards

Black Leopards have parted ways with their technical manager Kosta Papic just a day after Lehlohonolo Seema was let go.

The Serbian returned to the relegation-bound club in February 2021 following a short spell with Ghanian Premier League club Hearts of Oak.

This website revealed on Wednesday that Seema has left the Limpopo club and was not named in the squad that faced Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

According to an insider at Lidoda Duvha the former Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg United and Chippa United mentor has also been released by the club for reasons only known to the two parties.

Papic was brought back to Leopards to help them avoid relegation but it seems even his coaching expertise could not help move the club up from the basement.

With only three matches remaining before the season ends, things are not looking good for the Limpopo club as they are last in the DStv Premiership with 19 points.

Another loss in their next three matches will mean they will only be able to finish on 25 points.

"The reason Papic has been silent is because he is no longer with Leopards," a source reveals to

"The club has made some kind of arrangement with him to keep this a secret for now. They want to keep it under wraps until the end of the season.

"They believe it won't do any good to announce his departure when the team is fighting relegation. They believe it's better to wait for the end of the season before they announce any big news.

"They want to concentrate on the battle at hand, which is relegation, to try to survive if it's possible. Kunzima ndoda [it's tough]."

Leopards general manager Tshifiwa 'Chief' Thidiela could not be reached for comment.
