With the 2019/20 PSL Footballer of the Season set to be crowned on Thursday evening, KickOff.com readers have had their say on which player should walk away with the coveted award and the R200 000 cash prize that comes with it.
This season's nominations have pitted Mamelodi Sundowns' domestic treble-winning duo of Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino against Kaizer Chiefs star Samir Nurkovic and Highlands Park's Golden Boot-bagging forward Peter Shalulile, who is now part of the Yellow Nation.

More than 13 000 readers took part in the online poll to share their view on which of the quartet should lift the trophy and the voting came down to the wire, with Nurkovic and Zwane combining to take home 78% of the overall selections between them.
However, it was the Amakhosi star who ultimately emerged victorious with 41% of that tally, pipping his rival by just 581 votes, ahead of Shalulile and Sirino who ended third and fourth, respectively, in the polls.
The Serbian forward enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign in the PSL in which he scored 13 goals in 26 league appearances for Ernst Middendorp's side, propelling Chiefs to the club's best finish in the league since 2015.
The PSL has confirmed that the official Footballer of the Season winner, as well as the recipients of the other 11 awards categories, will be announced at 20h00 on Thursday, 22 October 2020, during a virtual ceremony.
