Mamelodi Sundowns right-back Khuliso Mudau expressed his delight after the Brazilians got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon.

The Brazilians came to the game on the back of two consecutive draws and opened a nine-point lead at the top of the log courtesy of goals in either half by Neo Maema and Themba Zwane.

Sundowns also kept their 11th clean sheet in the league and Mudau felt it was vital defending league champions to get back on the winning trail.

"We needed these three points, we've been doing very well, unfortunately we played two games that we were drawing," Mudau told SuperSport TV.

"We needed this win as the coaches were telling us we need to work hard, make sure we get the three points.

"Ja it was a great performance from me, I really want to thank the technical team, the coaches. They are doing a great job to make sure we're doing a great job as well, as players."
